One in seven Councils facing IT skills shortages at the start of the year according to the LGA. I just stumbled across this survey this morning which shows 17% of Councils had difficulties recruiting IT professionals at the start of the year making this the seventh most common ‘shortage occupation’ at that time. The survey also shows just under one in ten (7%) Councils experiencing difficulties finding IT User support staff whilst 2% have difficulty retaining this type of worker. The survey is undertaken each year and the results in this case are based on information from 174 Council respondents working in Senior HR roles/equivalent. For more infor: https://lnkd.in/gwfReAB
