Why is it that many course developers are still failing to equip students with the skills they need?

In our recent report for Tech Partnership Degrees: https://lnkd.in/g2x_YAs we undertook a detailed analysis of HESA data looking at various ‘KPI’s the HE sector needs to consider (and act on) when designing/ developing/ administrating under/post grad (or other) provision. The results are profound, and when it comes to preparation for employment for example; medicine & dentistry students rate their courses twice as highly as those from creative arts & design in this respect – clearly somebody is getting things right then – so why are others not able to do the same for other disciplines?
